Marc Bredif, Loire Valley
“..this Domaine produces some of the most profound and immortal expressions of Chenin Blanc..”
Marc Bredif, with its majestic cellars in the heart of the Touraine, has been one of the most famous Vouvray and Chinon houses since 1893. When Baron Patrick de Ladoucette took over the house in 1980, he breathed new life into the century old winery, while preserving its traditions.
Today, Marc Bredif continues to produce Vouvray and Chinon wines of the finest quality.
The estate has enjoyed a long and colourful history, having been established in 1893 under the original name of Château les Roches. In 1919, not long after the end of the First World War, Marc Bredif took over from his Uncle and renamed the property to mark the change of ownership. His focus was simple, to forge an unrivalled reputation for excellence amongst the estates of the Loire valley. His hard work paid off and the reputation of the Domaine grew quickly, both at home and abroad.
